Hope this make sense, but if you have any further questions or clarifications, please feel free to let me know. We cannot guarantee the features you describe will be added into the most immediate updates, but we're hoping to incorporate these features soon. We are actively updating and improving the RØDECaster Pro II to be used well as a podcasting, streaming, recording and gaming tool. In part, it is noticeable due to the very clean nature of the signal chain in the RODECaster Pro II. Some people find this more noticeable than others, but increasing the volume of your headphones or moving closer to the microphone will both help. The latency on headphone monitoring is comparable with other digital products of this type. Thanks for your valuable feedback, I will make sure to pass this onto the development team. Thank you for contacting RØDE Customer support. I opened a ticket about this issue with Rode myself. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t ready for launch. They’ve created a great platform that is going to be special in the space and quite powerful. That all being said, despite the product’s warts, I’m keeping it. I’d almost guarantee the miss is the product of an agile development methodology (now I’m just getting ranty lol). Likely needed 2-3 months more software dev time and now they risk putting a big black mark on an otherwise pristine brand. I absolutely love the unit, and am aware of the dangers of being an early adopter, but I feel like this was rushed to market. Recordings sound great, but it’s super annoying and distracting to hear my voice distorted in this way while making the recording. I’m not sure if this description will resonate with others (I don’t know what a comb filter is) but to me it sounds like there is a slight flange effect on the audio in my headphones, as in the guitar effect pedal. It’s frustrating and frankly, I don’t have the time. I haven’t yet - I hate that I need to spend the time testing beta firmware for them and then revert in order to be stable for production.
